The project looked at the role of ICTs and separately, of electricity as factors of trade and economic development. The project identified constraints to competitiveness related to the use of ICTs and electricity generation, transmission and distribution. It looked at existing and planned ICT and electricity use from regulatory, implementation and actual use perspectives and included the elaboration of an implementation plan with recommendations on projects and activities that could enhance trade integration through the use of ICTs and by enhancing electric power generation from a combination of traditional and renewable energy sources.
