Benedikt Pollmeier-Aletras is Managing Director and co-founder of Luvent Consulting GmbH. Mr Pollmeier has extensive experience managing, implementing and evaluating international development projects. He worked for numerous donors including ADB, AfDB, EBRD, EIB, EU INTPA, GIZ, KFW, UN, UNDP and the World Bank. He obtained global experience advising private and public-sector clients specialised in the areas of private-sector development (trade, entrepreneurship and start-ups), digitalization (e-governance, digital transformation, D4D) and Climate Change (resilience, adaptation and circular economy). He works as a mentor via the Luvent Learning Platform, the Tony Elumelu Foundation, the EBRD Star Ventures, and the GIZ supporting European and African start-ups in their business growth, product and organisational development. He serves as an academic supervisor for MSc students at his Alumni Universities and he has co-initiated the Blockchain Research Accelerator linking academic research with practical applications of blockchain technology in developing countries.
Prior, Mr. Pollmeier has worked in leading development consulting companies, the Geneva Offices of the United Nations and in the Government Affairs department of a multinational corporation in the Health Care Sector in Brussels. Passionate about travelling and exploring countries, cultures and landscapes while taking pictures almost every step of the way.
